Urg!!!

Dear Inconsiderate Surgeon,

I'm not sure if you have ever had cancer before but your pateients have!  Do you have any idea how incredibly upsetting it is to cancel a surgery of a patient having a tumor removed from his kidney just 14 days before surgery?!?  Well, it's rude!  And insensitive!  And it makes me very angry especially when that patient is my dad!  I don't know what "came up" but it best be very important because you just cancelled a surgery that my family (especially my father) has been anticipating for 4+ months now.  We want an end to my dad's cancer and you just moved the finish line back!  This is a person's life you are messing with!

One very disappointed daughter!

*** Just had to get that off my chest.  In case you don't understand or haven't followed my blog in awhile...  My dad has kidney cancer and was scheduled for surgery on July 11.  Today his surgeon called and said he couldnt make the surgery anymore and would need to move it back.  Seriously?  Who does that 14 days before surgery?!?!  Frustrating!  Needless to say, my dad is very frustrated and is getting a new surgeon... one who does not bail on his patients.  My dad was diagnosed with lymphoma last summer.  He was in remission in January and diagnosed with kidney cancer that same month.  We've been waiting on surgery ever since.... hence my frustration!  Please pray that my dad finds a new surgeon and can have his surgery very soon!!!

Crack Me Up

Hands down Landon is at the very best age!  I love thestage he is in!  Six months is such a blast!  Yea, yea his sleeping could be much better and yep he has his moments...but... his little personality is exploding and I absolutely love it!  He just makes us laugh and laugh!  Not a day goes by that we aren't cracking up at something he is doing, a face he is making or one of his newest discoveries.  It's such an amazing thing to watch a young child develop, discover, learn and grow.  Pat and I both are loving being able to be home with Landon everyday.  It is such a blessing and by far the best perk of our job (summer's off)!  Landon is king of new faces!  I don't know where he gets them from or how he realizes he can make them, but his facials are hilarious!!!  There is not a more awesome sound in the whole world than a baby belly laughing.  Landon's laugh is too cute and makes me smile instantly when I hear it.  I don't ever want to forget this stage of his life... so for your viewing pleasure here are 2 videos of our little man!!!

Splish Splash

Landon had his best bud, Hudson, over to play yesterday.  Hudson is my friend Tara's son.  Tara and I have been best friends since college and her little guy Hudson is just 4 weeks older than Landon.  I love that they will grow up together and be good friends.  Landon loves being outside, but with this excessive heat we've been having we have to find a way to stay cool.  So the boys took it to the splash pad.  Tara happens to be a wonderful photographer and took some cute pictures of the boys.  They crack me up together.  Here are some pictures from our fun day.  Thanks for playing Hudson!  Come back over soon!

Hudson: "Landon you squeeze it and water comes out."
Landon: "Oh, now I got it!"

Who knows what they were talking about!!!

Hudson all smiles and Landon making his crazy face.

My little love bug!

Hudson:  "This tastes good!"
Landon: "Yeah it does!"

Sweet Hudson!  Such a cutie!

Just love these boys!!!

2 Posts in 1

1... Today Landon had his official 6 month check up at the pediatrician office.  He did great and was such a trooper getting 3 shots!:(  Poor boy!  I held back the tears.  Here are our little man's official stats...
      Weight:  15 lbs., 10 oz.       15%
       Height:  27 in.                     60%

We have one long and lean little boy!  Just love him so much!

2...  Pat and I had our 2 year wedding anniversary last week on June 12th.  I kept meaning to post about it and well, time just sort of got away from me... so better late than never.  We spent the day together getting Landon's 6 month pictures taken and doing some shopping (I know, so romantic)!  Ha!  In the evening Pat had open gym (did I ever mention that he got the head coach job for Varsity basketball!  well, he did...so proud of him!) and I went to my support group (with other parents who have lost sweet babies).  So, not the anniversary we anticipated but we are loving life together and the family God has given us!  Although, Pat and I have only been married for 2 years we've been together for almost 9 years!  Crazy!  We've been through a lot together and I wouldn't want to have anyone else by my side!  Happy anniversary Patrick!  I love you more and more everyday!

Here we are on our wedding day!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my husband, dad, father in law, brother, brothers in law, uncles and grandfathers.  I am so blessed to not only have an amazing father but also a husband who is a wonderful daddy to both of our children.

My dad has taught me so much in the past 30 years, but some of the greatest lessons I have learned from him have been in just the past year and a half.  My dad was a rock for both Pat and I when we lost Paige.  His heart broke with us and he mourned the loss of his granddaughter.  Yet my dad helped us stay strong and walked beside us in faith and love as we embarked our second pregnancy and life on earth without Paige.  Through all of this my dad was suffering himself.  Last summer my father was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.  He battled through six rounds of chemotherapy, endless doctor visits, blood transfusions and being pricked in the arm over and over again.  Once in remission with the lymphoma dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer and he is awaiting a July 11 surgery date.  My dad is a fighter.  My dad never complained.  My dad never lost faith.  My dad never gave up.  He was strong because my dad is a Godefroid and Godefroid's can do anything!  I am so very proud of my father and so very honored to be his daughter.  My dad is my hero!  I love you dad!

My dad with Paige on the day she went to heaven.

Landon is one lucky little boy to have Patrick as his daddy.  I can already tell by the way he looks at Pat that they have a special bond.  Pat is so in love with his little buddy and amazes me with how natural he is with Landon.  It's a God given gift to be that good with children and he got it.  Both of my children are so blessed to have a father who loves them so unconditionally.  I'll never forget the way Pat looked at our Paige when he held her in his arms.  He was such a proud daddy and even though we only had her with us for three days he loved her more than many are loved in a lifetime!

Makes Me Smile

It always warms my heart when friends and family tell me they go and visit Paige in the garden. Pat and I think of her everyday but it's such a warm feeling to know that others think of her too. Today my dear friend Nicole and her 4 year old daughter, Audrey, went to visit Paige. Audrey has asked Nicole before where Paige is. Nicole tells her that Paige is in heaven with Jesus. So when they pulled up to the garden today to give Paige a pinwheel Audrey shouts, "wahoo! Heaven!". Makes my heart smile!!!

Thank you for remembering our sweet little girl!

1/2 a Year!

I can't believe our little man is 6 months old!!!  A half a year has gone by since this miracle entered our world.  It's so surreal.  Part of me can't believe that six months have already flown by and the other part feels like he has always been a part of our family.  Each month I can't believe  how much Landon changes in looks, personality and of course his development.  It's the most amazing thing tho watch your child grow and develop.  I am just so proud of him and love him more everyday!

Here is what Landon is up to...

~ His official 6 month check up is not until next week, however, about 2 weeks ago we made a visit to the pediatrician for a little cold and our big boy was 15 lbs. 1 ounce.  I'll post official stats next week.
~ Landon is wearing size 2 diapers and 3 - 6 month clothes.
~He is eating baby food now and absolutely LOVES it!!!  He has tried rice cereal, oatmeal, peas, green beans, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, apples and bananas!  This little boy loves to eat!  I think he liked the applesauce the best!  He licked his bib clean! :)
~ Sleeping habits have been quite interesting this month.  We went through a spurt where the only place he would sleep was his swing.  Yikes!  Not good, I know.  Then he went to falling asleep in his crib.  He would then wake up screaming anywhere between 1 and 3 am and the only place he would fall back to sleep was in his swing.  We are still in this stage, however, this week we had 1 night where he made it in his crib the entire night.  This can be trying and a bit discouraging to Pat and I.  I keep telling myself this too shall pass.
~Landon started sitting up all by himself this month.  He does great with this and loves playing on the floor.
~He absolutely LOVES his jump-a-roo!!!  This is on loan from our good friend's, Myleigh and Sydney.  Thanks girls!
~His little personality is too cute and he is just such a happy little boy!  He rarely fusses and when he does we know he's hungry or tired!

It's amazing and beautiful how a child can change your life.  Both of our children and have changed our lives and Landon continues to heal our broken hearts.  He has been such a blessing and we love telling him about his big sister, Paige!

Here are some pictures I took of Landon.  We will be getting professional pictures done later this week.

This is a new face that Landon just started making!  We have no idea where it
came from or how he discovered he could make this crazy face!
We love you Landon Jordan!  Crazy face and all!

Mr. & Mrs.

We've been a bit MIA lately. Just a bit busy and we continue to be busy as ever! This past weekend Pat and I had the honor of being a part of our good friends, Ed and Priscilla's, wedding! They has the most gorgeous weather, but the couple was even more breathtaking! I slacked on the picture taking because I was having so much fun I forgot. I do how ever have one picture of the bride. Priscilla looked absolutely beautiful! I joked that she was a life size Barbie. Ed & P, we are so happy for the both of you! We wish you a life time of love and happiness! Congrats!

Here is the gorgeous bride!
